The Chinotimba and Dako community gardens in Victoria Falls are in very good condition and it is hoped that the extreme heat they are facing at the moment will do nothing to spoil that. Volunteers have been hard at work helping project members to keep on top of weeding and watering. They have also taken time out of gardening to use their own expertise to teach the project members about how to run and market their own business. As Chinotimba garden is located in Victoria Falls town and is exposed to the local community, volunteers are currently working on an eye-catching sign to advertise the project’s fresh vegetables for sale.
Meanwhile, the children at Victoria Falls Orphanage have also been enjoying the company of community volunteers and were excited - and very grateful - to receive a generous donation of clothing, toys and books from their visitors recently.
