Events
From time to time ALERT organizes events to raise awareness and funds for the projects. These events give participants a chance to find out more about the programs as well as often listening to guest speakers such as our patron, the famous explorer Sir Ranulph Fiennes. ALERT is also represented at a number of events around the world, either in its own right or in conjunction with our partners.
For a list of upcoming events please see below for details:
1930h on 5th May 2010 on ITV1
The fourth episode of the television series "Lion Country" about the lion release program is being aired on ITV1 in the UK.
A packed episode you'll see Luke joining Alice, Nadia and Ezulu. We encounter the TMs, 2Ds and check in with the progress of the 2Js as well as spending some time with the project v.olunteers on one of the least pleasant jobs at Antelope Park. The volunteers also assist Dr Pieter Kat and the vets with blood tests on 18 adult lions. Dr Kat takes a closer look at Melanie.
You'll also see the Ngamo release pride, David, Leigh-Ann, Ephraim, Bongani, Ticha, Tinofa, Sam and Roy. Even Livingstone's 2Ts make a cameo appearance.
