Our Projects

ALERT and CCWA engage in a range of research programs either in their own right or through partnerships with other organizations. ALERT concentrates on in-situ and ex-situ conservation of the flagship species; the African lion, while CCWA focuses on the environment and on other species, both fauna and flora, with which the lion shares that environment. ACT focuses on community involvement in conservation as well as development and empowerment programs.

We currently operate three regional project centres; Gweru and Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe as well as Livingstone in Zambia. Through our partners however our reach across Africa is greatly expanded including Kenya, Botswana, South Africa, Zanzibar, Namibia and Mozambique.
